Proposal:
I will be able to achieve this by
planning my work effectively, and managing my time and resources efficiently. Using
my work plan, I aim to improve my independent learning skills by being focused
on specific tasks in a planned, sequential manner. Arranging meetings with my
designers, makers and tutors will enable me to experience a professional level
of communication. Using emails will also help maintain this contact from a
distance. Practical research on garments and items will be carried out
methodically using the internet, shops, library and other resources. When buying
fabrics I will go to London
and use local sources to collect samples. This will require a balance between
practical reasoning and creativity and a high level of independent judgement
when making these decisions. I plan to realise project solutions with group
discussions and realistic thinking. I will be reflecting frequently on my
progress and work using my production journal.
Experiencing this project will
support my future aspirations of working in Costume. I feel that undertaking
Supervising/Buying will help develop my decision making skills and improve my
self confidence by holding the responsibility of running a wardrobe department.
I have realised that I do not want to restrict my opportunities within this profession;
therefore by gaining as many skills and as much experience as possible during
this project, I can consolidate my strengths and reduce my weaknesses. I am
very pleased to have this opportunity as it will add further variety and
experience to my CV.
